A self-reliant person is someone who is not in need of anyone but himself or herself. Lately, different types of communication means have been introduced into our society that a self dependent person would criticize like "Instagram" and "Twitter". Instagram is an online photo-sharing and video-sharing social network service that enables its users to take pictures and share them with their "followers". A self-restraint person would not use such service, for it depends on other people for its usage. To add friends on instagram, a person must "follow" his or her friends and in return they "follow back". The terms "follow" and "follow back" already contradict a self-reliant's principles. In addition, to enjoy such a service, a person would rely on other people to follow him or her so that he or she shares his or her photos with these people. Another social network that works approximately in the same way is twitter. Twitter is like an open newspaper. It is used to make posts that are read by "followers". Without these followers, one could not interact much on twitter. This reason would make a self-denial person to criticize twitter as well. Eventually, a self-relying person would depend on his or her own power and resources rather than those of others.
